Kimberly Bosh, LCSW
Co-Owner
Hi, my name is Kimberly Bosh. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in human development and family studies from the University of Delaware in 2014 and my Master of Social Work degree with dual specializations in advanced clinical social work and healthcare from Aurora University in 2017.
I have been working in the field since 2012 in various settings that includes inpatient behavioral health at Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital on the adolescent unit and AMITA Mercy Medical Center on their child/adolescent unit, in home as a behavioral therapist providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, working as a community interventionist with an intensive outpatient program serving at-risk children and adolescents, and Easterseals providing clinic based therapy to children and adolescents on the Autism spectrum. I have conducted autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS) assessments measuring if an individual qualified for an autism diagnosis. I have experience facilitating group, individual, and family therapy as well as creating treatment and behavioral intervention plans.
I primarily work with children and adolescents ranging from ages 4-23 years old. I specialize in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD), and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, I have experience working with children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, anger and school refusal. Along with specializing in children and adolescents, I also have experience working with young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, self-harm, and life transitions.
I use evidenced based treatment practices such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness based cognitive behavior therapy (MB-CBT) as well as integrating applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques for behavioral-based needs, and therapeutic play. I utilize play therapy techniques during sessions to keep children engaged and motivated. I believe clients are unique individuals and I tailor treatment to meet their specific needs. My goal is to create a safe, supportive atmosphere to promote healing and growth.
